flashback time! it's October 31, 2021. they were 13 years old, hadn’t even thought about making music as a hobby, let alone a career. they were browsing an unofficial Friday Night Funkin’ subreddit when he first saw the Hypno’s Lullaby mod - more specifically, the song Monochrome. being 13 years old, they thought it was the coolest thing in the whole universe, and followed the mod’s development every day since, up until the mod’s unfortunate cancellation in october of 2022.
so i’m sure you can imagine their excitement when, in late november of 2025, they were reached out to by BeefStarchJello to compose the new version of Monochrome, with fellow composer and prog metal demon MarStarBro, for Lullaby’s official revival. to put it lightly, it was a very challenging song for them to make, but they'd like to think the result was absolutely worth all of the effort. they said this ain't your grandma's Monochrome - not to spoil anything for you description-readers, but it's among the most emotionally charged, visceral and cathartic songs i've ever made and it has been such an honor composing this monumental remake of an iconic song. they hope you all enjoy it as much as them and mar did making it!!
